The mission of SCMS is to:

  • Consult with physicians in the development and implementation of Medicare Certified Ambulatory Surgery Centers;
  • Negotiate the best possible managed care contract reimbursement rates;
  • Provide cutting edge facilities billing information to clients;
  • Assist the ASC staff with credentialing (AAAHC or Joint Commission);
  • Keep the ASC current with new requirements (Medicare, State, AAAHC and Joint Commission);
  • Audit ASC’s QA programs and;
  • Manage ASC’s.

SCMS is a member of Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association (since 1998) and the New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (since 1999) where Richard Wagar was on the Executive Board (2001 to 2004).
